It was a good night of soccer as the Mavericks tucked in a win over the Knights on Friday.
Down 0-1 at half and with the wind in their face, St. John's started to take charge and win possessions. The effort eventually paid off with Chris Farrish heading in the tying goal with 16 minutes to play in regulation. With the Varsity playing on the adjacent field, the teams elected to go to a shootout. St. John's went up 4-3 on goals by Jared Lichtarge, Farrish, Mark Louis, and Scott Wise. Ian Mellor-Crummey smothered Episcopal's final shot and the boys in red joined their Varsity classmates in a double goal win over the home team in white.
