SJS Wins Big On Senior Night

Senior night was a good one at Taub Field tonight. Senior Stephen Spears started on the mound for the Mavericks and set the tone giving up 0 runs on 0 hits while striking out 1. Later in the game in the bottom of the 6th with senior Cameron Crain on 2nd Base and senior Jeffrey Lonnecker on 3rd base, senior Matthew Davis hit a game winning sacrifice fly to centerfield to win the game 11-1. Senior Jack Britton was 3 for 4 with a single, a double, a triple, with one RBI, and 2 runs scored. Senior Grant Guillory flew back in from UPenn to support the team in the final inning. We missed senior Evan Reynolds who was on a college visit. And, senior managers Alex Sheinbaum and Kate Bomar did an outstanding job tonight as well.

Spears, Chotiner, Luedde, and Havens combined to throw a no hitter! A nice senior led win for the Mavs. Next up... a big one vs. cross town rival Kinkaid at home on Thursday.
