Technology Support Specialist

St. John’s, a dynamic and collaborative K–12 independent school, is seeking a hands-on IT Technology Support Specialist to join our team immediately. This 12-month position supports a multi-platform environment across campus and requires strong technical and interpersonal skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to excellence.  The role provides first-line support for a wide variety of devices and systems used by faculty, staff, and students during school hours (7:30AM to 4PM).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support platforms for end users across Windows, macOS, iPadOS, and ChromeOS
  • Set up, configure, modify, maintain, and document laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, interactive displays, and other school technology deployments 
  • Assist with resolving network and wireless connectivity issues
  • Support faculty and staff with basic audio/visual and classroom technology needs
  • Resolve tickets representing staff-generated technical requests or problems and troubleshoot technical and process issues to maintain productivity and active records.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • 2+ years of IT support experience, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in troubleshooting basic networking, printers, and AV equipment
  • Able to manage priorities and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical user
