Upper/Middle School Visual Arts Teacher (starting August 2025)

St. John’s School is seeking a full-time Visual Arts teacher. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with upper and middle school students (grades 6-12). Visual Art teachers at St. John’s work together to create a cohesive curriculum. Primary responsibilities:
Teach a variety of Visual Arts courses in Upper and Middle School
Serve as an advisor
Demonstrate proficiency with Dark Room Photography, Digital Photography, Studio 2D Art, 3D Art and/or Digital Media
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Art/Art Education; Master’s or Master of Fine Arts in Art, Studio Art, or Art Education with graduate hours in the teaching specialty preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of classroom teaching experience
Experience teaching a variety of art forms (painting, sculpture, metals, printmaking, photography, film, digital art) a plus
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
